Thoughts re the ubiquitous “Focus” playlist

I’m not astonished to find that the most active and popular Neo-Classical musicians are contained within mood playlist like “focus,” “study,” and “relax.” I’m curious what musicians think about this and the “hit” making power that these curators posses. I can’t be the only one who is a tad bit concerned over the hegemony of the “Mood” and its potential effects on the creativity of classically trained composers. I love new and contemporary music because it’s creative and experimental. I’m an active and engaged listener, even when I’m listening to a playlist design for sleep. Are there artists out there that have any insights or thoughts? How have the popularity of these playlists helped you or discouraged you?
