Why would only 1 track on an album not be available?

So - I understand why some artists are not available on spotify due to licensing issues etc.

However I don't understand why a whole album is available except for one song / track. A good example is Don Henley. Both greatest hits albums are on spotify with all tracks available except for one - "Dirty Laundry".

Are all songs on each album licensed individually? Otherwise what is going on here?

Thanks,

Aussie Dave

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂

It must have something to do with licensing, I am in the UK and all the tracks on both albums are playable for me.

Thanks Peter. I agree. Just seems strange that only 1 song out of a whole album is affected.

Music would be better if labels didn't block their music, but sadly this is how the music business works. =(
