Accidentally paid for premium -- can I change this?

Apparently when I synched my iPod to get a Spotify playlist onto it, I paid for premium.  I wasn't aware that this would happen and I didn't want to upgrade to premium.  Is there a way to downgrade or go back to the version I was using?
