Being in Offline Mode while being on the internet

I was enjoying listening to music offline, but then I decided to got on the net using the same computer, and Spotify automatically switched to online mode. Is there a way I can stop this. I ask this because listening to music with Spotify in online mode effects my internet enjoyment. The whole point to swiching to premium, whic I just did today was to avoid this.

Unfortunately this is not possible with the desktop clients themselves. However it is possible to stop spotify from recieveing data with external software/hardware and it will push itself into offline mode.
