Hi there,

 

I'm trying to upgrade from my current 'unlimited' membership to Premium so I can use the app on my mobile devices. However, when I try to upgrade using any of the various links, I get this message: 

 

'This feature is currently unavailable. Please try again later.' I've reviewed this seemingly linked issue, but it looks to be different; I've also spoken to email support, who've been less than helpful.

 

Email support have suggested that it's because my account is with a Partner; they can't tell me who this is, and the account page actually states:

 

'Your account is associated with our partner spotify, please refer to spotify for questions regarding your subscription.'


The suggestion from email support has been that I contact Virgin Media, but they've not provided any contact details for anyone who might understand what I'm asking about. I also can't for the life of me think why it would be anything to do with Virgin. I've pinged them an email in the meantime, for the hell of it.

 

Apparently, there are no workarounds - they can't even delete/recreate my account, because it's a 'partner' one. Has anyone else had this (ludicrous) issue themselves? Spotify support, can you provide anything better than 'ask someone else'?

Looking into your account, it does appear that you pay for your subscription through one of our partners. Hence the confusion. However, this might be a little glitch. I've just escalated it, I'll let you know when it's sorted.

Thanks for the prompt response! My account page is slightly more helpful now -

 

 

'Subscription status

You have an active Spotify Unlimited subscription. Your subscription will automatically renew and you will be charged £4.99 on 2013-02-11 unless you cancel your recurring payment. '

 

..but when attempting to upgrade I still get the same old - 

 

'This feature is currently unavailable. Please try again later.'

 

Any other suggestions?
