Connected to Facebook by itself

Hi

My spotify account is somehow linked to Facebook now and have no idea why, it just did it by itself. How can i remove this virus/feature?

Hey there, the account you log into Community with is connected to a Spotify account that was created through Facebook. You can check this by logging in on your profile page on our website -- all Facebook-connected accounts' usernames are a jumble of numbers, rather than something chosen during signup.

If you definitely have a Spotify-specific username, it's worth getting in touch with our support team here and they'll be able to get you reunited with it. If you get an automated response, reply back to it directly.

I went back to check my credentials and it seems like i was mistaken, because i assume this tells me that i logged in and created my account through facebook:

First Email from spotify:

1. Download and install Spotify. It's free. 

2. Open spotify and login with your Facebook details
Username: my@email.com
Password: [Your Facebook password]

If you would rather have an account which is not connected to Facebook, head over to the signup page and hit the "Create an account using my email address" option. 😉
