It's not possible to connect to this Facebook account

Hi.

 

I am unable to link my Spotify account to my facebook account get the following error:

 

"Sorry. It's not possible to connect to this Facebook account."

 

I have emailed through the web form but got a generic auto-reply (useless).

 

Please can someone help with this issue. I have tried logging out of all account, removing traces of Spotify in Facebook etc.

Hi Kevin,

 

It appears that you have inadvertently created a couple of duplicate accounts through Facebook which we have now removed from our system.

Just make sure you are logging in with your username (and not your e-mail address) and the next time you log in to your account, you should find that you are able to connect Facebook 🙂

It appears that you have inadvertently created a couple of duplicate accounts through Facebook which we have now removed from our system.

Just make sure you are logging in with your username (and not your e-mail address) and the next time you log in to your account, you should find that you are able to connect Facebook 🙂

I seem to have the same problem. I can not connect my account to my facebook. Could you take a look into that?

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂

Since it is the weekend, you will probably get a faster response if you get in touch with the customer services team directly using the online contact form and they can also remove that duplicate account for you. 

If you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.

 

Also just going to hide that email address from the public in your post, just to prevent your inbox filling up with spam.

Ahh I see, well I got quite frustrated yesterday with a little touch of panic hehe.

 

Thank god I managed to realize that I accidental duplicated my account but I can not understand why that can be so easily to be done... I mean I am quite technical and I like to struggle around with things to find out how they work but there are a lot people among my friendship community that have had the same problem and that has never been able to retrieve their lists.

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂

You will need to get in touch with the customer services team directly using the online contact form and they will be able to get that sorted out for you. Normally when you get this error message it is because you have accidentally signed into Spotify using your Facebook details before meaning your Facebook details have a full account tied to them. 

If you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.

I am having the same problem as the other 2 on this thread. When I attempt to connect to Facebook I get the message 'it's not possible to connect to this Facebook account'. I followed the advice and emailed the support team, but only got a generic answer directing me back to the FAQs page, no use. I replied to the email, but got no response.

Reply to that automated response and it will be dealt with by a staff member. If you haven't heard back in 48 hours, post the case number here and we'll chase it up for you.
