I have tried numerous times to upgrade, and it won't allow me. I've attached the screen I receive every time. I really want to use Spotify on my mobile. Please help me!

Do you have any money in your bank account? Spotify need to make a small charge to confirm the card is valid, and then they refund it.
Also, make sure your card is open for international and online purcahases and try a different web browser.

Me as well. Been trying all day. Tried 2 credit cards, both have money in them Even set up a paypal account and it just sends you back to your subscription page with no indication of whether it has worked or not, still showing as a free account so i guess not. Never had so much trouble trying to give someone money before. I guess it's back to Rdio for me! Catologue may not be quite as big but i've never had this many problems with them.
tried upgrading, still says that payment has failed.
now when i try and add a new payment method it says "oops, please try again" before i get to enter my card details.
Ok. Sounds a little strange. If you could contact our payments guys, they should be able to get it sorted.
In the meantime, please check out this and this. It may be able to shed more light on why it's not going through.
