Just joined and have a couple questions

Hi all just joined Spotify and really like it. I have a few questions that no doubt have been asked before but I cant find them. So appologies in advance.

1: Is the Premium or Unlimited on a rolling monthly sub`n or 12mth contract?

2: I`m trying the free version at the moment is there a great differance in sound quality between the bitrates?

3: Why cant all the prices be in $$ so that we all get a fair deal and not ripped off by the usual practice of just changing the $ to a £?

eg:  $9.99 becomes £9.99 which is over $15 !

Just not fair "rip off Britain"

1. It's a rolling monthly subscription. No 'Contracts' of any kinds. You can subscribe for 1 year straight off as well.

2. On the premium - yes, I do notice a difference if you have high quality enabled. It will depend on your sound system though.

I know! It really annoys me that they do this, just to get more money. I saw the watchdog thing on companies doing that - blaming it on higher tax rates etc.

Just don't do it!

(You can get it in $  if you have a US credit/debit card, they probably use it in £ to stop international purchase fees).

1. It's a monthly sub that you can cancel at any time. There's no contracts involved.

There is an option to make a 1 year subscription but there is no benefit to it so don't make one. The price is the same, you just pay 12 months instantly and you can't get refunded any extra months. It's stupid so don't do it.

2. I don't see a huge difference but it is there. Free/Unlimited is 160kbps and Premium has a high quality option for 320kbps.

3. Your country is willing to pay more. US is actually quite a poor country and they have many things they must pay for that are not a problem in European countries.

Thanks both for the replies..

Liam_w I think Paymore gives the option of paying in $, not sure that it would still be $9.99 tho`.

Stupify: Answer No 3 We are not willing to pay more its that we have no choice also the US standard of living is higher than most Euro countries!
