Moving accounts due to deactivated Facebook

Moving accounts due to deactivated Facebook

I recently deactivated the Facebook account that I used to listen on Spotify. My (now inaccessible) Spotify account had a great deal of favorites/playlists, etc, and I'm trying to see if all that data can be restored.

I've read through relevant forums here and it seems like my best bet is asking the Spotify staff to move my old data to a new/2nd Spotify account, created with a new/different Facebook page. I've sent them a message but no response.

I already have the new Facebook account, and am using it to play music on Spotfiy right now.

Is it possible to merge the two accounts (old and new) so I don't have to lose my previously-created playlists, faves, etc.?

Please advise. Thanks!

Hey 🙂

Do you have the case number from when you got in touch, I can ask someone to chase it up for you?

God I don't miss my old Facebook but i do miss my music.

My case # is  04107139

How do you have your playlists moved over if you deactivate your FB account? It said to create a new Spotify account which I did and contact Spotify but I keep getting a generic response. Can anyone help here?

I have the exact same problem

What the heck?!

I guess we just need to come into contact with a moderator to get the problem fixed 😞

They have made it IMPOSSIBLE to delete or merge your previous facebook account. Bull**bleep**.

SERIOUSLY?!?! What the ****? Like, even if you talked to the moderators?

I only did it because it said you could transfer everything by creating a new account. I'm pissed.

Me too 😞

I'm Having The Same Issue Please Help...And I don't have a Case Number...

I'd like to deactivate my old Facebook and move my subscription to my new account

It's a shame because I love the convience of spotify I'd hate to have to adjust to another product I hope to here back from you guys soon because As a musician I can't go to long without my music

@Mquiles01

My suggestion would be for you to create a new account with different email address from the one you use for facebook. That will give you a Spotify username, so you won't have to rely on facebook anymore.

You can create it here:

https://www.spotify.com/signup/

Once you have this new account, contact customer support and they'll help you migrate your Premium privileges (if you have them), library, playlists, friends, etc. to this new account.

If you like you can link this new account to your new facebook and deactivate the old one, but now you won't have to rely in the facebook login process, since you'll have your very own Spotify username.
