Redeem gift card while still under premium subscription

I am currently a Spotify premium user, paying with my credit card. Two days ago, my friend gave me a Spotify gift card and I accidently redeemed for Spotify subscriptions while I am still under premium subscription. I don't know whether gift-card value could be accrued in my account. Please help me out because I feel so confused about this situation. Thank you in advance.

When you redeem a giftcode onto a Premium account, our system will automatically push back your next payment date to include the giftcard time. In your case, you redeemed a one-month code, so you won't be paying at all in July and your payments will continue as normal in August.
