Hi!

 

I've read a abit in this forum and it seems like there are some problems with this function?

I've tried to set my device password but I don't get an email with my credentials.

Would it be possible that my mail is sent manually?

I signed up for a 30 day Premium triam yesterday and I am having the same exact issue. 

 

I am using a Sonos system and when clicking the link to set up the password I receive the message stating an email has been sent. I have never received one. 

 

I sent a question in to the help team this morning. Case # 00239765. I received a confirmation to that, so it is not an issue with the address. 

 

Likle you said, checking the forums, others seem to be having this same problem....

Yeah, same here.

I've also contacted the Suppot team and got the "message received"-email.

Let's see when something happens 😉

Same problem here.  Nov 9 2012.  Extremely frustrating!

 

Just an update.  I finally got a device password.  It took 3 days of slow-motion correspondence with Spotify tech support.  I never got the auto-generated email and on day 2 I asked for them to send me a password.  They sent me a link that allowed me to set the password without waiting for an email that never arrives.

 

So I appreciate the help from the Spotify team.

I have the same problem. Tried to reset my password and was told I would get an email back with a link to reset my password. I never got the email so I send an email to Spotify support. I quickly got an answer, that they were working on the problem. Today I got an email with a link to a custumor quick servey but there was no word about the problem I have.

When I look at the dates of the posts in this forum, I can see that this problem have been going on for a long time and I find it hard to understand why Spotiy hasn't fixed the problem yet.

Ich habe das gleiche Problem. Versucht, mein Passwort zurückzusetzen und wurde gesagt, ich würde eine E-Mail mit einem Link zurück zu meinem Passwort zurückzusetzen.Ich warte auf emails !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Die Rechnung kam an ...aber die  mails um es zu nutzen nicht.sehe sehe endtäuschend!

I'm having same problem as of 05/29/2013.  Can someone please email me the link?  My Spotify account is premium.  Trying to get password for devices.

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂

If you get in touch with the customer services team directly using the online contact form they should be able to get one of those out to you manually as soon as possible. 

If you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.

Same problem here, 2 years later.  Clearly Spotify doesn't seem to be acknowleding the problem.  For reference my case number is Case #: 02912776.

I have been with Spotify for approx 5-6 years, sometimes I click on Spotify and get straight to content, no password or details required. Then

other times the dreaded window states logon, and every time I get real problems. Why? what should be such a simple task is a nightmare. I

never experiance any similar problems with any other app. Come on Spotyify get your act together and start being user friendly, or you may lose your friends!!!
