The downvote system in Spotify radio doesn't work!

Whenever i listen to a radio station on Spotify, the same songs appear again-and-again even though i have downvoted them into oblivion!

I am tired of constantly downvoting the same Madonna/Paula Abdul/etc. songs on the 80s radio station every time i play the radio station.

Does the downvote button even work, or is it just the same as pressing "next song"?

Oh, and how do you "undo" a missclicked up-vote? 🙂

1. I believe the downvote may only work for that radio session...

In my experience the downvote button doesn't have any effect even within a single radio station, within a single session. I thought the voting buttons were supposed to help "improve the station" and steer the song selection in the future, but it seems that at least the downvote button is just a placebo.

The downvote button is most definitely a placebo. Does not even work for single radio stations. I've systemetically tested it to make sure I wasn't going crazy. It's been this way ever since the radio was implemented. To me, this renders Spotify's radio feature as completely useless. Will this ever be fixed?!?
