Two accounts with same email! Cannot save my provile

I've been a premium subscriber of spotify for many years and have my username sessan connected to my gmail. I've never connected to facebook since it spams to much. However: on friday my company set up a collaborate playlist and then I must have clicked a facebook-link or something first... 

Then all these notifications of new songs started to spam my inbox, phone and computer (we are over 100 people adding songs so it gets a lot) So I tried to remove the notifications via this site. Logged in to my sessan-account and when I tried to save it said the email was already in use. **bleep**. Then I found out I had an extra account connected to facebook (where i of course use the same email adress)  This one I really really need to remove. I do not want to start over. But it's impossible to delete accounts that are connected to facebook! Please help me! I've been a paying customer since 2009-09-19 and payed over 3500 SEK for this service so I really hope you can help me!

I have exactly the same problem (except that i use the free version) ... since i clicked on a friend's playlist via Facebook, i can no longer access my original account, in fact I've been forced to connect via FB and create a new account in order to post here.

 

I sent a support ticket requesting assistance - and got the following response :

... which basically says 'go to the forum, read the FAQs or follow us on Twatter (spelling intentional).

 

If you're going to introduce a functionality that automatically creates a new account when someone clicks on a Spotify post in Facebook, then you need to offer a SIMPLE solution that privileges an existing account with the same email address (and maybe offers the option of adding the ability to login via FB on that existing account) but NOT to replace the existing account with the new one!

This should now be fixed for the both of you - The duplicate accounts that had been created have now been deleted.

I have the same problem. I wanted to create a user account with spotify with the same email as I use facebook. However it would say there is an account created already. I currently use a xxxx@msn.com  email to login, but I want my xxxx@live.com  email from facebook to do that.

Hi ae86takumi - It doesn't look like your @live.com email has been used. You should be able to change the email linked to 'ae86takumi' from your Profile Page: https://www.spotify.com/account/profile/

Well, this happened again! I do only want to use my real sessan-account, not the facebook one. Same email on both so this is impossible for me to fix by myself. 

Well, now I have two community-help aliases aswell. Jessibj=sessan.

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂

You will need to get in touch with the customer services team directly using the online contact form and they will be able to remove that extra account for you easily.

If you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.
