Upgraded from unlimited to premium

Upgraded from unlimited to premium

Hi! I while ago I upgraded from unlimited to premium, and the payment went through. But I still have unlimited on my spotify,
It says here on my account that I have premium. What can I do to fix this?

Hey, welcome to the Community.

Have you logged in and out of Spotify since upgrading? Looking at your account, everything appears to be in order so you might just need to log in again for the changes to take effect.

What you see in Spotify? Spotify Free or Unlimited? Maybe you create somehow another account?

I have the same account both places. I see unlimited.
 

Do you use File - Log out at least once? Restarting Spotify not enough for this.

Yes, i click on my username, and press log out, and then i shut down spotify, and then log in again.
But it still says unlimited. 

As i know, Spotify uses a Unlimited first, then Premium. If you use a Credit Card with auto-renewal, Spotify renew money from your card when your Unlimited Month is at the end.

It says i have premium, and they have charged my card already..

Well, to clarify what happens when you upgrade from Unlimited to Premium - what happens is that we halve the remaining Unlimited time and give it to you as Premium.

In this case the account is definitely on Premium in our system. Perhaps then a clean reinstall of Spotify is the next thing to try.

I tried to uninstall and install again, but it still says unlimited. 😕

I have the same problem as marenmathisen. I got a code from BetClick and upgraded to Premium and it still says I have to upgrade (I had Spotify Free before). When I look here it seems that I have Premium but it doesn't work when I play music. Still get commercial. I've tried to log out and log in and I've also reinstalled Spotify. Pleas help!

Hi Richard.  I purchased the premium but I still see the "upgrade" option on the spotify app on my pc.  Also, all the ads are still there.  I have logged out and logged in, I have exited and restarted app.  I have even rebooted.

 

I confirmed my profile at spotify.com shows I have a PREMIUM account.

 

I compared to my friends spotify premium account and she doesnt have this issue.  Please advise.

Pakalp & Boedker - This is a little odd. Have you emailed into Customer Support? If you haven't, please go to 'About us' and then 'Contact Form' and fill it in. We'll need to take a few bits of security info to look into it further, so contact via email would be more appropriate.
