User name vs. FB name:. Lost all my playlists!

I have had an account for years, with my Username ID, but after connecting to FB, I am called by my real name and what is worse, I lost all my playlists! They were connected to my username. If I log in with my old username, I am told that the e-mail I am using is already used by another account, and that is of course ME! So, it is me vs. me. All I want is to get rid of the FB-thing and have my playlists back. How?

What happens when you try to login? I can't see anything particularly strange about your account.

Hi Gingerkid75 - Updating your app wouldn't have any affect on your account. 

 

I've done a bit of behind-the-scenes maintenance on your account. Please try signing out and signing back in for me.

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂 

 

Are you logging into the client using your username 'birgittao*****' and your password? 

It sounds to me like your Facebook have become detached from your account.

I have the same problem!! All playlists are gone and I have trouble logging in..

Hey guys, welcome to the Community.

Max - I can see your duplicate account but it looks like you've made payments on both. So you'll need to get in touch through our contact form so we can sort out the double payment - just go via About Us (above) > Contact Form.

Sunnyryder - you had some duplicates, but they have been deleted. I'm not sure what's happened to your playlists though, how many did you have in total?

Reported a problem, but sorted it out thanks to the read me. 

I am getting the same issue.  Lost all of my playlists after logging in today.  It also says I have Spotify free when I just received a payment receipt 5 days ago for my premium!

 

If this could be sorted out, it would be greatly appreciated.

I too am having this issue, I paid 7 days ago and now it's saying i am subscribed to spotify free and my playlist has gone. I log in via facebook.

this happened to me too! i have none of my songs and albums and my premium has disappeared.........

Never mind... i logged in too spotify-old account and found it all... 🙂

I love you guys and i dont want to go anywhere else. I got this new computer and I downloaded spotify last night It was working fine. all my starred songs and lists were there , but then today they are all gone.

 

I have tried to do every possible solution i have read on the forums. i just re instaled spotify on the computer and still same issue

I dont recall ever signing up on the website .. i just used the - connect through facebook - feature and those have been my login credentials for forever.

I'm with you. For some reason I got kicked out and was told I lost my premium status?? So I signed up again. Lost everything!! I am so angry right now. So much time creating them. All gone. Why did the account not just renew on it's own??? I'm beyond angry. 

So I was playing a song on my iPhone and mid-track it stopped and told me that it couldn't log in. I got home and found out that I had two days till I needed to renew my subscription. I couldn't use it even with the two days left!!! I decided what the hell, I'll just renew it. So I did but now when I log on it treats me like a new user and I have no playlists and no stared tracks. How can I get this fixed? 

I have the exact same problem. What's going on?

When I open spotify, it already greets me with my facebook name, but then tells me to log in again, and as soon as I try to login I get an error that it couldn't connect to Facebook. I don't mind Spotify integrating so much with Facebook but it shouldn't be at the cost of just using the program.

 

Plus, I too don't see any playlists.

Probably around 30 playlists...is there any way to get them back? plz!

I have the same problem too.  It seemed to get confused on Saturday when I got logged out, then when I tried to login again I eventually got in and have no playlists left 😞

My problem remains...i can still find my old profile om spotify wich i can also add to "my favourites", and all of my playlists are there. But I am still unable to log in on that profile. I have the same problem logging in on this website. I can only use my my facebook-account, not my old spotify password.

Extremely frustrating, I hope this can be fixed soon!

Hi! i have the same problem, i cannot connect in any way since saturday, and i'm paying for spotify unlimited. I hope they'll give a solution soon, i think there is many people with the same issue..

Having the same issues. I've had a Premium subscription active for 3-4 months now, and this randomly happened. I have always logged in using my Facebook account so I don't know what the issue is, but now it's walking me through the "tutorial" like I've never used it before and I no longer have Premium services or any of my starred/playlist songs.

If you find that you cannot connect your old account to Facebook this may be because the duplicate account has a free trial running on it. This should expire after 48 hours so allow you to reconnect on the original account after that.

 

If you're still not having any luck just let me know and I'll do what I can to help. There's quite a few posts on this at the moment but me and the rest of the team are working to help as many as possible
