First "true indie" label established in Britain for almost a decade, independent label Chiswick Records, described as 'significant' in the Punk era, was active from 1975 to 1983.
The label released some earliest records from bands like The Damned, Motörhead, Sniff 'n' The Tears, Dr. Feelgood and from band which will become The Clash (101er's), Simple Minds (Johnny & the Self Abusers), Shane MacGowan (The Pogues).
The Back catalog is owned by Ace Records.
