My Question or Issue

Hi, I'm new with Carthing and the first issue I have is that the phone sound notifications interfere with my music, and it is really annoying.

Any idea how to disable those sound notifications when Carthing is playing?

Welcome to using Car Thing! I hope that you are liking the device. 🙂

Car Thing is a remote control for the Spotify mobile app so that you can easily control the audio while driving without having to use your phone.

The audio is still being handled by the Spotify mobile app. If you hear notification sounds during music when you are usually listening on your Android phone, then you will continue to hear these notification sounds when using Car Thing.

In this case Spotify has no control over your phone's notification settings. You should be able to go into your phone's Android settings to change the notification settings for sound.

For example, I use an iPhone and I usually have my phone's "silent mode switch" turned on when I am in the car listening to music. All notifications then come in without a sound.
