Spotify freezing and having to restart app in Jeep Grand Cherokee

Usually when I get in my car, I select “Media” and last song I had playing from Spotify plays with no issues. For the last month, the song will appear on the screen in my car, but no audio will come out. Even if I try to press play or change the song on the Spotify app, nothing happens. The song will change on my car’s display, but no audio will come out. I have to restart the Spotify app in order to get audio to work. After I do this, I still have to skip to the next song in order for audio to start playing. My husband also has a Jeep Grand Cherokee and is experiencing the same issues.

To make sure we cover all bases, could you give the steps under Not working? on this page a shot? It's possible that it may help in your case.


Shouldn't that do the trick, however, could you let us know how you use the Spotify app? For example, is it built into the car stereo, or are you connected with another using Bluetooth.
