sometimes when in car i hit media and spotify plays from android phone. somtimes it don't. what em i'm doing wrong. problem just started.

Thanks for posting in the Community.

What are the brand/model and operating system of the device you're using the app on? We also need the Spotify version installed on the device.

In the meantime try performing a clean reinstall of the app as described here. 

If you can also prepare a short screen recording of what you're experiencing while trying to launch the app, it'll help us a lot.
