Best Orchestral Movie Soundtracks (Share Yours)

Hi All,

Sound effects, especially soundtracks, have always had the greatest impact in my movie experience. Additionally, movie soundtracks work well for board games or fantasy/sci-fi books, but it can also help me concentrate in school/work related stuff. Better than techno? WELL NO, but close! 😉

Here are my favourite movie soundtracks (albums), just to name few:

John Williams – Star Wars

Ramin Djawadi – Game of Thrones

Howard Shore – Lord of The Rings

Daft Punk – TRON: Legacy

Ennio Morricone – The Good, The Bad & The Ugly

Ilan Eshkeri – Stardust

Steve Jablonsky – Ender’s Game

Hans Zimmer – Interstellar

Tom Holkenborg – Mad Max

Klaus Badelt – Pirates of The Caribbean

Here you can find my collection of the most epic classics: Board games - World of Fantasy

… but most importantly, please share yours! What music would you recommend to help others to concentrate or just some background music for gaming/reading? Any soundtrack or movie recommendations that hold amazing tunes?

My absolute favorite is James Horner's The Rocketeer.  It's all about man conquering the sky and learning to fly, age of aviation.  It's kind of even more emotional considering he died in plane crash.  But for some darn reason spotify doesn't have it, I can't figure out either how to suggest for them to add it.

The soundtracks to the How to Train Your Dragon movies are just awesome . . . as in they literally fill you with awe.

Thanks! Good movies, too!

Still one of my favourites from the 2002 film The Pianist, based on the autobiography of Polish Jew and Holocaust survivor Wladyslaw Szpilman.  Szpilman was a popular classical musician who performed Chopin on Warsaw radio during Nazi Germany's invasion of Poland.

The original score piece “Moving to the Ghetto Oct.31, 1940”, was composed by Polish classical and film music composer Wojciech Kilar and the Chopin pieces are performed by Polish pianist Janusz Olejniczak.

ENJOY😃

If you’re a fan of The Omen soundtrack then check out the eerie orchestral score behind the film The Changeling (1980).  Sadly, not available to listen to on Spotify, although can be found elsewhere on the internet.  The film is on my list of scariest horror movies and also worth a watch if you’re a fan of horror.

I find it really sad whenever an artist has something like 'very prolific' in their profile yet only a few of their albums/works/songs are represented.

Yah that's why my playlists are always 100+ tracks lol
