One Track You Can't Stop Playing

You know what it's like. You find something new and can't stop playing it.

What's your current "can't stop playing" track? All genres and minority tastes welcome, as is old music you might have just discovered.

Currently, I have this on a loop.

TUBER: Sex and Depression

NOTE: It's instrumental, so no explicit lyrics despite the title

Tuber are a band from Greece which is a refreshing change in itself, with currently just over 1,000 monthly listeners. I am now a fan.

As for genre, it's not easy to pinpoint. Something of a cross-over with elements of rock, post-rock, stoner rock and psychedic rock. You may have other ideas. 🙂

A song i tend to play almost every day is this:

Stone Giants is Amon's new alias (5th out of 6 aliases in total), and for a variety of reasons this resonates with me - the droning synth sounds, the chopped up vocals in this sort of watery atmosphere. I just think if a person has this and Fairweather as a top track on their last.fm weekly/monthly stats, it would probably be best to reach out to them. 🤔 Because this alias is seriously a very emotional one.

Love the album, pledged for the vinyl, too.
(i have no idea how play buttons are handled at mo)

Listening to this one these days. Pretty jammy innit?

I’ve been enjoying listening to all the tracks on the new Maha Sohona album quite a bit the past few days, and my favorite track from the album is “Leaves”; I love how well the band bridges relaxing psychedelic/space rock and desert/stoner rock riffs on their Endless Searcher album–especially on this track:

I'm listening regularly to this track.

I love the guitar in this and the whole sound of the song is different to most songs today.

Mockingbird by Machinecode.

It doesn't hit me on speakers as much, but on headphones when it drops, it's flooding me with the electrifying club vibes, smoke-filled dark illuminated by bright lines of laser beams and hypnotizing lightshows on large screens. I'm honestly stunned.

Deafening levels of bass and driving beat.
It's bass music, one of the forward-thinking kind. Hints of neurofunk. I guess one can call it drum&bass, but i really don't know. Insane tune tho!

This song really resonates, especially with the pandemic that we've ALL been through the last 1.5 years. Many are struggling, and we're putting on "Brave Faces" for outsiders to see, even though internally it's really difficult to grapple with everything that's going on, the anxiety, the isolation. Super catchy and sung with passion.

Totally into Stevie Wonder seventies era, love this beautiful song and keep on playing it over and over again.

What a lovely track you chose @Thijster75! I've not heard much music from Stevie Wonder, even though I reckon he's pretty famous. Glad I gave it a try!
