Piano Solos

I am curious to know if there are here a few (or tons) of fans of piano music in the broadest possible sense:

- hard core classical music like Mozart, Haydn, Schubert

- contemporary classical like Debussy or Satie

- hard core avantgarde like Schönberg or Stockhausen

- so-called modern / minimal piano light ballades like Einaudi, Nyman, Glass

- Pop instrumentals (for piano...)

- Latin (salsa, tango, bossa nova...)

or any other category I am forgetting now

For instance, is there any K-pop for solo piano?

 Hi again,

My playlist is slowly gaining some following. Now 204. It's dark and sad piano. So if you have any piano music of that kind please notify.

Greetings

Roberto

Added it.

Greetings

Hi, @DonSolare, nice topic, I have worked with a few modern pianists and here you have some of them, I hope if you enjoy them give them a follow on Spotify and add the tracks that you enjoy the most to your library and playlists:, here a snippets of the reviews that I publish on my blog:

Carl Liungman, a Swedish pianist and composer, has just recently released his newest piano works. Titled “Affection & Absence”, the intimate EP follows the unpredictable path of love and translates all arising emotions beautifully through a mix of jazz and neoclassical styles.

Here is a quote from the artist of the following track "All of us must do whatever we can to stop our insane gun violence. A Mother’s Tears intends to do just that." JACQUES BAILHÉ

Also here it is a quote by the artist: "I want people to feel something when they listen to my music, hopefully, something that makes them want to listen again. It’s hard to describe with words, but almost exclusively do I follow the path which evokes somber and thoughtful feelings. Maybe it’s a problem, but I feel I fare better at composing melodies than pitching them afterwards. Anyways, I hope people will give it a whirl." –Sombertrap

Okay, this might not fit exactly in the piano category but worth a lot to listen to.

Melissa Grey & David Morneau are a duo of composers and producers. Their music is designed as an exploration of a theme in mind: For example, space, time, nature, language, and dance. This allows them to experiment with musical form in unconventional, yet exciting new ways. Robert Kirkbride is a guitarist, professor, author, and designer interested in the interplay of memory and placemaking.

The trio has released Always Becoming as a musical essay on the relationship between music and the cycles of life. It was composed by Kirkbride, Grey, and Morneau, with Kirkbride playing the guitar, Morneau the trombone, and Grey the theremin and the guitar feedback. The EP was mixed and masted by Grey and Morneau.

The last one for this post:

With his magnificent solo piano compositions, Raynald Grenier creates an atmospheric oeuvre that evokes complex emotions in us. Grenier mixes intricate harmonic structures with melodic phrases which create a sense of intimacy with the music. This is the case of his newest composition “Doux Instants”, hailing directly from his most recent album Opus 1. Mesmerizing in its own right, “Doux Instants” becomes an essential piece for new and returning listeners.

It may not be what you're looking for but

John Cena's piano rendition of "Home Sweet Home" from the Peacemaker soundtrack would be my recommendation

Hello Roberto, I think Variation No.1 by Art Smith might fit your playlist well!
