My favorite ambient guitar album is The Re-Stoned’s Stories of the Astral Lizard, the only The Re-Stoned album that I would describe as “ambient” all the way through. The crunchy riffs and fuzz-guitar solos that are often found in other The Re-Stoned albums are nowhere to be heard on this album, and instead languid, groovy guitar melodies weave their way through the slow, laid back rhythmic patterns. They even utilize a rain stick in “Fractal Panorama,” which adds to the relaxing, immersive atmosphere:

Hey @Spanglemaker,
I'd definitely recommend The Earth Is Not a Cold Dead Place (2003) by Explosions in the Sky. Some tracks from this album have been used in movies and commercials.

This time I would like to show something different. This is the link to my video I made to show that it is possible to create some ambient music out of just one guitar chord. The link to the video is below and to my Spotify, too.
Do not worry - although it is in my native language, I added the permanent subtitles in English

Hello @Spanglemaker, and other readers of this thread!
Maybe you'll find an interesting track or two on my Ambient Guitars playlist.
It features ambient music made mostly or exclusively with guitar, bass guitar, Chapman Stick and pedal steel.
I started this playlist almost three years ago and update it once a while with interesting things I find.
Cheers!

I've loved and been playing ambient guitar for decades. This is my favorite track.
