Story Game

The rules are simple- one person puts one sentence at a time. 

If the story stops at a logical point, I'll put up another post.

I'll start.

There was a girl playing the piano.

She heard a faint noise from the back of the room and the tap of steps heading toward her.

Pinball the cat was eager to see how well her newly learned technique - which involved both feet and a mustard packet - would pay off.

Pinball jumped in to the girl's lap and upon landing pressed a few piano keys out of clumsiness.

She was both startled and yet comforted to see Pinball, so much so, she failed to see the man standing in the corner of the room.

He looked like a shadow - black, tall and faceless.
