Hello, Spotify users.
My name is Michael. I am a premium subscriber who uses Spotify devotely. I love how I can play it anywhere I go on practically any device I frequently use. However, I'm posting this today in hopes I reach a few of you who glance over this. Artists need money. Spotify and many other streaming services do not pay the artists enough. Yes, there is a ton of exposure. However, exposure does not directly pay the bills these artists have. While they love to create and perform, they also are doing what they do for a living.
I have made a video featuring accounts from both musicans and educated individuals about the royalty imbalances that Spotify imposes on artists, along with real numbers and a potential solution to the issue at hand.
