Which album did you enjoy from beginning to end?

Ok, it often happens that a good record has 4 - 5 really nice songs, but when did you enjoy an entire album? from beginning to end.
Personally, I found indispensable Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains .. and other popular albums. But I would like to ask you to suggest a little less known and surprising music.

I begin by contradicting myself. They are not really unknown, despite their name

this one, however, left me quite surprised

Oh. Thanks for the suggestion. You reminded me of an album that I literally consumed.

Angel Rat - Voivod - 1991
Unfortunately it is not entirely available on Spotify 😢

About 1991, a prolific year, you might like Richie Kotzen's Electric Joy. But I wouldn't include it in the list of indispensable ones because now it bores me a little

I think Voivod are great, too. I'll listen to Angel Rat next for sure (it's available on Spotify in my country); thanks for your suggestions as well. My favorite track by Voivod is Astronomy Domine, their cover of the Pink Floyd song:

I was unfortunately too young to appreciate music produced in the early 90’s at the time; I love the band Phish in particular, but I only discovered them in 2009 when I was in college and they reformed then. I think it would be great if I knew about Phish when I was just a kid, since I could have theoretically gone to their legendary concerts throughout the 90’s

unfortunately 😮

An avant-garde album not so easy to listen to, but short enough to manage the syncopated rhythms without seasickness. They are practically non-existent on the web and I like the idea of promoting them.

True, I shouldn’t complain about when I was born; it was a fun time being a kid in the 90’s, even if I didn’t know about any of the bands that I like now that I’m an adult. Here’s another album that I can listen to from beginning to end, a recording from 04/05/98 by Phish:

Well that's a good question and worth  thinking about it.

As you said, many albums I label as good include like 5 or more great songs...

Perhaps the album that is in its entirety awesome as heck is Out From Out Where by Amon Tobin. I refuse to listen to separate songs off that album because they are meant to run into each other, but listening to the whole album is an amazing journey. Even the beginning of the first song makes me implode inside from that sheer amount of excitement, awe and happiness. These shimmery notes and I'm all
"Yesyesyesyesyes YES YES YES!!!"

/rubs goosebumps on arms/

spotify:album:27ftYHLeunzcSzb33Wk1hf

I love all of his releases quite equally though but OFOW is of cinematic quality...

Other releases that I listen to from start to end and in variable combinations are by some amazing electronic music producers that blow my mind by the quality, detail and insanity. Monuman, Æterna, Thomas Vaquié, that new Amon project called Only Child Tyrant, list goes on. They are really the case of "Oh I love that song, I'll queue this... That also sounds brilliant, I'll queue that one... Ah whatever /hits play on entire album/".

by Monuman:

spotify:album:3boJ7bxjIqkLjnPRO6pv2c:small

All songs on that little EP are unique and really solid. 'Polychoral' the song is beautiful...

by Aeterna:

spotify:album:19FIPYRUnfSVQwQHwRGwoq:small

The way it's produced is insane.

By Vaquié:

spotify:album:4x13ZP0gu1KXXoD1KInGRx:small

I really enjoy that one for its atmospheres and immense sound design. Sometimes when my mood is right, I'll be stuck listening to that release.

I (sometimes) also listen to entire albums of Connan Mockasin, Blur, Rolling Stones etc and feel extremely content with myself. 🙂

But mostly I have many albums where I love some songs a lot more than others.

Oh, thank you Sebasty, I was already aware of your passion for Amon Tobin, but hearing you describe the emotions it transmits encouraged me to listen to him. The whole album, in itself, is actually cohesive, consistent, bewitching. It's not my 100% music, but the whole is truly remarkable. And I like to wander towards new things.
Thanks for your feedback.

Now I will listen to your other suggestions.

You really can't go wrong with Iron Maiden (at least with Bruce, but Blaze too) and Van Halen (at least with Dave but Sammy too).

Here are albums that I used to listen to over and over again (front to back, the way albums were meant to be listened to).
