I find it impossible to have a favourite song of all time, there are so many songs that I think are amazing so I guess that for me, it has to be a song that I constantly go back to because it's kind of comforting and that song is "Recurring Dream" by Crowded House but honestly it does change depending on my mood.
Well it's all depends on my mood on what I'm feeling like listening to. Although my main genre is rock with no any particular sub category of rock. If it's rock then I roam in that realm 😂. Sometimes I listen to pop, acoustic cover, indie, alternative and so on. Right now song's that I'm hooked and I really recommend you.
I do recommend posting play buttons. A lot easier for others to take a listen to the song - hit play and hear a 30-second preview; hit the song title and you'll end up in Spotify client where you can hear the full thing.
(then I'm also sure I'll be listening to the correct song)
I have a large listing of songs that I consider my favourites. I also started listening to a wider variety of music not too long ago (about 3 years ago), I listened to a very narrow selection of artists before that. I even have a proof: a playlist of my top 100 from 2014 which is halved between Blur and Robbie Williams, and 15% of it is other music.
Fun fact - I didn't have any playlists back then. I just queued music from my History and artist pages. Top 100 was made by Spotify. : )
More you get old, year after year, you get more and more "favourite songs". I could make a list of at least 100 of my favourite songs, which I have still the same pleasure to listen, even if some of them are over 50 years old. 😄
