Recently on spotify I have been blasted by the advert for a horror film, and it has happened at various points in the past as they advertise these films.
I can deal with most things but I just don't feel being forced to listen or turn down (as I usually have to now) an advert which has screaming and crying adults and children and horror sounds, not to mention the videos, is okay. I don't mind other adverts unless they are ridiculously sexual but I think horror films are in a league of their own, especially when its late haha!
I just don't think its fair to force people who don't enjoy hearing horrific noises to listen to them and make them feel unpleasant or sad.
I propose to have a system where the user can ask not to see a certain advert (limited number of requests so spotify doesn't loose anything).
This should make the adverts more bearable and people not want to switch services, I know the adverts are meant to be annoying to gain premium customers, but the horror ones are a step too far I think.
