I know that some similar ideas exist (about the multiple authors), but they're not exactly the same, so here's what I would really love to see in a next update:
Currently, all collaborative playlists are private. And it has to be like this, because if someone is following a collaborative playlist, it means that this person is able to add or delete songs from the playlist. And we don't want a random user to modify our playlists.
So I think being an author of a collaborative playlist, and follow that playlist, should be two different things:
- The authors (yes, there should be several, not only the creator) would be able to add or delete songs from the playlist;
- The followers would be able to suscribe, share, and listen to the playlist, without having any rights to modify it.
This way, we could make collaborative playlists public and opened to subscription for everyone. If that idea could be implemented, it would deeply improve my spotify experience: I would love to share the great playlists we did with my friends, so that anyone who wants to listen to them could.
