Remember before music platforms when you had to add music to cd's or even further back, cassette tapes? Spotify has completely eliminated that retro tradition because you can instantly make playlists and play them thru the phone. No complaints. However, the act of giving someone a mixtape of music that reminisce on good times, or a boyfriend to his girlfriend (awwwww), etc is completely gone. I know we have a share feature where you can send a link to a playlist. But, what if there was a button where you could have "Create a mixtape for your friend". Most people already log into spotify with their Facebook, so they could have the capability of selecting the friend they want to send the mixtape to.
When creating the "mixtape" you could have a message box for them to fill out. So people can personalize it when they send it to their friend. You could get notified off of Facebook messanger, "__________ created a mixtape for you! Check it out!" Then their personal message would follow. Or, it could be sent to their email. (System details that could be decided by you. Obviously.)
You could keep it a limited quanity of songs, to adhere more of the retro-ness of an old mixtape. Or unlimited.... whichever. (Again, details...)
I was just thinking how "back in the day" people took the time to create something personalized for you. They were thinking of you. It would be nice to create that aspect again but in a modern platform.
