Hi, I've been a (non-payment) member of spotify for a few months now, but I have a HUGE problem with what ads show up. I've been getting pretty much only one ad ("on fleek") since I've joined and believe me, if I hear it one more time, I think I might explode. I do NOT like the artist, I do NOT like the genre, I do NOT like the language, and I do NOT like hearing the same ad over and over.
I think that a way to control ads should be implemented. Not a way to disable ads, just a way to silence the bad ones, and bring in the good ones. I know that there are probably not that many ads that spotify runs, but it would be nice to not hear a rapping ad with swearing in it for once.
It wouldn't have to be too complicated. If you have a large database of artist/album/genre ads, spotify, I would like them to be based on what artists I'm following, not what's "popular" at the time. I hate rappers, I hate swearing; not a good combination when I'm forced to either listen to that one particular ad ("on fleek") that won't go away, or hit mute and end up missing at least half the song afterwards.
It would only have to affect artist, album, and genre ads, because I know how much you guys depend on companies supporting you. I just don't want to listen to artist/album/genre I hate, you know?
