[Desktop] Have the Search results not take up the whole screen

I know it's been like this for a while, but the way that search expands to take up the whole app when you tap the search bar makes it more difficult to add songs to playlists. It was so much easier when you could be on one of your playlists, tap into the search bar, and then drag the song directly onto your playlist, instead of having to find it in the side bar. It would be great if there was a way to toggle the expanded search off.
