Less of an idea, more of a requirement. Popping open a new thread following the closure of https://community.spotify.com/t5/Closed-Ideas/Support-IPv6/idc-p/1240190
Spotify needs IPv6 end-to-end. To ensure future connectivity, and to avoid NAT problems similar to the problems you've already encountered.
You have some client support in Android and iOS (the latter is required). Your desktop clients are v4 only, last I checked. Service-side connectivity is also still missing.
The implementation of v6 in some of your clients helps on v6 networks with translation, which is a great step forward! In many environments, I don't have NAT64 to get back to the v4 network though, in which case spotify always breaks.
Can you indicate when we'll be able to use spotify end-to-end?
