[Desktop][Your Music] Please support the M4A file format for local music

Local Files as music sources are useless to me without M4A support.

It would also be nice to know when the app is showing me local albums vs cloud albums in search results and playlists.

Marked as new idea, which is a repost of this inactive idea.

Please check this thread on how to listen m4a files through Spotify:

The thread about "how to play M4A" referenced above is not helpful to a Mac user, because it's only for Linux. On a Mac laptop, iTunes and Quicktime are present, yet Spotify doesn't even recognize, display, or find M4A files.

Spotify documentation says that M4A is not supported, period. Is Spotify's documentation incorrect?

(I tried to delete this -- my own comment -- because it was redundant, but I can't delete. Admins, go ahead and delete this useless comment :-) )
