Recently, Spotify got rid of listing albums that came out in a genre and has instead now totally relied on its algorithms to find you music that you may like.
That's nice n all but if we ignore that many albums are labeled and tagged incorrectly with wrong genre labels, it has always been useful to scroll through a list of albums that have come out and see what interests you. Sometimes a name, the album art or just random chance may have you pick an album/EP/Single and it turns out to be something you like. This isn't predictable because lets say you're looking for underground,<1000 likes artists, you'll never find it because the algorithm will always be tuned towards the popular stuff and not what you want. Also people's tastes vary so much. Sometimes you may want a jazz track and next you're hankering for some boom bap hip hop.
Bring back listing the albums by date, especially as much music releases on Friday
Your Idea has been submitted a while ago, and unfortunately hasn't gathered enough votes (50 votes within 3 months) to keep it active in the Exchange. Be sure to know that this does not mean that your Idea has been declined by Spotify.
Don't worry, your Idea will still be able to gain more votes, and may get a Live Idea status if it receives enough of them.
