Long time Spotify user here, ever since there were only username/password log ins.
As active duty military we get placed into areas around the world, whether it be combat zones or out at sea, for long periods of time. Having recently returned from a 6 month deployment, I know amongst me and a lot of the guys I deployed with, it was kind of saddening having my Spotify premium account only for a month due to not having Internet access to verify I was still a Premium member, and seeing all of my playlists and music grayed out.
Thus, the idea for Long-term subscriptions came into my mind. If users could make a one-time payment that would provide Premium access for, say for example, a year, that could offer an alternative to accessing those features. I know in the world we live today, it seems kind of far-fetched to think someone could go a whole month without having internet access somewhere, but there are those cases.
And hey, maybe even offer a discount to those who pay for the year in advance (i.e. if a month is $9.99, then a year could be $110.00; 1 month free kinda thing?)
