Make Crossfade a property of the Playlist

I hesitate to turn on the new crossfade feature, because it would ruin most of my listening experience (preferring gapless for that).

However, on some playlists - say party mixes - I would really like crossfade.

So how about making crossfade configuration available per playlist, not just as a global setting?

+1 for this!

Try using crossfade on classical music or jazz. It will sound outright rediculous! On my trance tracks however it would be nice.

What could be a great feature is now renderd useless.

Totally agree here. When I'm going to sleep, I'll listen to a mood playlist, like "A Sudden Rainstorm", and gaps between tracks can be a bit jarring. For me this is the perfect place for crossfade as a smooth transition.

When I'm listening to music, I prefer to hear it without the crossfade unless the individual tracks aren't very distinctive.

Basically, crossfade is great when the tracks sound similar or transition well. It is bad when they don't.  Because of this, I think it should be a property of the playlist, or something I can change easily from the playlist view. Preferably I'd be able to persist the personal setting to the "My Music" copy of the playlist, so I don't have to think about it every time I want to listen to a particular playlist.

PS I use spotify nearly constantly and you guys are providing a great service! ❤️ xoxox
