As a Spotify member since beta and a Premium member for who knows how long, I'd like to see a change to Favorited Songs from Radio that was recently changed for the new update.
Problems with Update: I favorite a lot of songs on radio/stations and usually don't immediately remember the name of the band or song. But, I almost ALWAYS remember the album cover. So when I want to return back to that song I saved and check out the album/artist, I know I can go to my Saved Albums and sort by recently added to find what I need. The recent update really hinders this, as throwing them all in a playlist will almost make favoriting songs a hassle, as you would have to scroll through text and text to find what you are looking for. Not to mention, this is a step backwards, as this is how Saving songs from radio used to work years ago.
To fix this issue, I am presenting a few options to make me and probably some other Spotify users happy!
1. Moved Saved Songs back to Saved Albums - This is probably the easiest solution, and I honestly do not know why it got removed in the first place.
2. Make it a Setting Users can opt in/out of - If someone really doesn't want favorited songs saved as an album, why not make this an option instead of forcing it on everyone?
3. If You Don't Change it Back, Add Album Covers to the left of the song on the playlist - This way, you get your way, but also users do not lose the visual reference to a song they saved.
Additional Feedback: So, right now, if I favorite a song from a station, it doesn't get saved as an album, it only lives in a playlist, right? But if I favorite a whole album, I saved the album, and then all the songs get added into the playlist anyway? What's the difference?
I can live with the Recently Added being removed (not really, but I could adjust), but in my opinion, removing Favorited Songs from the Saved Albums Library literally erases years of history from my own account and will change how I favorite and listen to songs moving forward. Please reconsider this recent update.
