I need to stop battling with my own playlists, fighting to hear songs I've personally specifically added to it. Here is some (apparently new-to-you information: A person adds a song to playlist because they hope to hear it in the future when they listen to the playlist (is your team under a different impression?). Stop giving priority to recently played songs. When you shuffle, it picks a random song, and therefore, randomly the song it randomly picked is now given priority over the others. That means that, of its own volition, your playlists, by design, steer themselves into a cul-de-sac and there is no way to avoid it. The inevitable result of any of your playlists is that a few songs get played and the rest get ignored, regardless of my actual preferences (by the way my preference is that you don't give preference to any particular song). And I refuse to "break them out into smaller playlists." I need you to give us the option to have an actual random shuffle. This is not a new thing that your users want. We have been asking for this for literal years. What is the problem? All we're asking for is for LESS control from your invisible processes. It shouldn't take much work to turn off your deceptive non-random shuffle.
Q: Why haven't you acted and provided this yet?
Q: What makes you think that people wouldn't want to hear a song they personally added to a playlist?
This is not a new request from me or other users but I will not stop taking up your time and asking for this. At the very least answer the two questions above.
