It's horrible. It's a jarring music listening experience.
It goes so far as to break a core rule of product design: You give users a setting to turn this off. Then decide to override the setting that the user has already preferenced. There's a reason we set these things, and when you break the setting you yourselves have provided to us, the users, it makes us lose trust and faith in your product.
Thanks for bringing your feedback to the Spotify Community. However, a similar idea has already been suggested here. Make sure to add your votes and comments there and hopefully Spotify will consider implementing it.
