This feature request creates automatic queueing for podcasts by prioritizing your podcasts and episode preferences. Currently, A person must select between different podcasts and select the specific podcast to listen to each time. The new feature would automatically pick the next episode based on the queuing settings.
The feature would allow the following settings:
- Prioritize followed podcasts (Rank 1 to n)
- Set the podcast episode listening order (newest to oldest, oldest to newest)
- Remember current episodes playing status (remember place if stopped in the middle of an episode)
- Track listened or skipped episodes
- Option to select Podcast Queue/Playlist
- Ability to have multiple queues/playlists (different genres: i.e., business, self-help, cooking)
For example, I set up the following queue:
- Podcast A: Oldest to Newest
- Podcast B: Oldest to Newest
- Podcast C: Newest to Oldest
- Podcast 😧 Oldest to Newest
I open my Spotify Podcast Queue and select play. The queue would select the next available episode to play based on my defined settings.

Hey @LotusJeff
Your Idea has been submitted a while ago, and unfortunately hasn't gathered enough votes (50 votes within 3 months) to keep it active in the Exchange. Be sure to know that this does not mean that your Idea has been declined by Spotify.
Don't worry, your Idea will still be able to gain more votes, and may get a Live Idea status if it receives enough of them.
