My account was recently hacked (i think, password was changed and also my e-mail) and it anoyed the hell out of me, however I have a simple idea that will help people get their accounts back/notice if they got hacked.
The thing is, when your account get hacked the hacker changes the e-mail to one of his own, so if you try to reset your password he recieves the e-mail, not you.
An easy way to avoid this is when the hacker/or if you want to change your e-mail account, spotify sends out a confirmation mail to the original e-mail where you have to accept or decline that the new e-mail gets connected with your spotify account.
This way you can always get your account back by resetting your password and change it without needing to wait for spotify support etc.
This idea has been submitted more than 1 year ago, but unfortunately hasn't gained enough kudos during that time (10 kudos/year). In order to keep an overview of the active ideas in the forum, this idea will be closed for now. Note that this does not mean the idea has been declined by Spotify.
Please feel free to re-post this idea if you still feel you want to see this implemented. With a little change in presentation, maybe this time it will gain the necessary support from the community.
