Discover Weekly is the most impressive feature of Spotify at this point, as many regular listeners would surely agree. This is extremely important for Spotify's branding and positioning against the other online music services.
However, I've come to notice that users are completely abusing this feature, naming their playlists things with names like "Discovery Weekly" and a million variants. So many of them even named it "Discover Weekly" -- how is this allowed??? I'm attaching the search results for "discover weekly" so you can see how polluted this is.
Here is a use case for you to think about.
So Spotify's killer app is buried away in strange interfaces. Go figure that Spotify would screw another interface up.
To add insult to injury, in an attempt to fix it, I shared my Discover Weekly playlist with her, thinking when she got it, it would be customized to her. My playlist isn't even marked as public anyway, so now she is following my playlist instead of her own, which doesn't even seem possible.
Really a waste of a lot of time promoting this service and having to learn way too much about how the wonky system works over there.
