Bring real Last.fm integration to spotify! I loved the old last.fm app (which doesn't work in Spotify 1.x) specifically because of all the artist info it provided and because of its wonderful "Similar Tracks Playlist" feature, which made a list of related songs based on your entire last.fm profile, and didn't suffer from some of the limitations of Spotify radio (it had a huge database of tags and info to draw from, and did not present only the most popular artists and tracks in a genre). I would love to see a pane just for last.fm, or a plugin or app of some sort. Just some way to get that functionality back! Plenty of room for new features too. Best, Innerspectrum

Hi people, After switching from iPhone to Android, i saw that the Spotify app is completely different then on iOS. For example: On iPhone only you can: - Swipe to right/left to add a song in your music or add as next song. - If you press and hold a song you get a preview. - In the play window you can swipe down to close this window and go back to your playlists, you can swipe up in playlists to get the album play window. - Genius is as i seen only available on iPhone, i didn't saw it on Android. On Android you exclusively have: - Landscape mode - Scroll bar to fast-scroll down or up in a long list. As far i can think this are the differents between the operating systems. I don't know how Windows Phone looks, but i think the statement is clear: Spotify, please make all of your apps equal and don't change designs or features because we all (as a Premium) pay the same price. We want the same features on all our devices, no matter if it is a iDevice, Android or Windows Phone. Hope this will happen, because it is different for years now and i think its time to change this! I'd like to have the option to post songs onto my Instagram account like I do on Twitter or Facebook. A screenshot of the album art to filter with all the information included by default. Find an example attached. That way I believe it gives it a nice twist to sharing music and Instagram is hashtag heavy; #NowPlaying has many readers. Thank you!

I wrote an email about this a while ago and got a response back that it's something they would like to maybe do but they needed more interest in the idea before they devote time to it. I'm not sure if this is for the other mobile apps too but I know my adroid app doesn't have this. Basically, there are a few music apps (not sure if I can mention the name but one I used to use a lot with the initials W.A.) out there that have check box in settings that lets the app use the headset/headphones to control play, pause, skip, etc. instead of controlling the phone. Right now, if I try to use the controls on my headphones to play, pause, or skip while in the Spotify app it will simultaneously dial the last incoming or out going number in my phone. It's just handy, especially in the winter so I don't have to haul my phone out of my pocket or dig in my bag for it, I don't have to haul off my gloves, mittens, or go buy special ones to use the touchscreen (I would imagine it would be a pain if your exercising or something like that too)...only have to click one of the buttons on my headphones. Pebble is touting that with the release of their new "Pebble App Store", happening soon out now, Pandora will have an app that runs on the Pebble allowing you to vote a track up/down as well as advance to the next song. As I subscribe to Spotify and not Pandora, I would LOVE to see this same kind of app coming from Spotify. Currently, the Pebble can control your music, but only through the "now playing" system on a given smartphone. Personally, I have an iPhone 5 and while it works flawlessly to play/pause and advance tracks, having the voting up/down functionality in an actual Spotify app would be amazing. EDIT: The app store is open, but Pandora have not released their app for some reason. Perhaps they are waiting for the official release of the Steel (I know the promo units had it pre-loaded for reviewers). I think it would be very interesting if Spotify were to beat them to it! There are several other apps from major companies, like Yelp and Foursquare, so this isn't just a niche market. Other companies are realizing the potential, and I'd be really excited if Spotify did, too! The attached image is from a review on tomsguide.com showing Pandora's Pebble app as it will look while controlling the smartphone it is linked to. I think it's a very clean and simple interface that could easily be replicated by Spotify. The two services, while streaming radio, are very similar. For those of us using Pebble I think it may be tempting to switch without this feature, which is the main reason I have brought this to the ideas forum.

On the queue page of the Android app, if you long press/tap the three dots on a track you "Saved" (stored on Your Music), you get a menu with both "Remove" and "Delete" AND with the exact same icon! This is really confusing, since there's no way to tell which button does what I want to do. In my opinion, the best solution would be showing only the "Save" button on the queue screen. After the track is stored on Your Music, the app should behave the same way the iOS one does: only display the "Remove from Your Music" button if I bring the "Track Options" menu from the Artist, Album or Your Music screens.

I would like for Spotify bring back support for car stereos. I have read multiple threads under the IOS forum section, and it seems to be a general problem: Cannot change track/songs via the controls on the radio/steeringwheel. Cannot see song informations on the radio screens. Though i have found out that people USED to have the support for all of this, but when updating to a newer version of Spotify it stopped working. Last known working version of Spotify was Version 0.5.8.73. I would very much appreciate of Spotify to look into this, and bring back propper car controls. It wont only make for a great feature, but also save lifes (from people beeing busy changing songs directly on the phones). I think it would be a great idea for Spotify to include an audiobooks section. I know so many people who have a separate app for listening to audiobooks on the go. Spotify should be the first to include both these options in the one app. After all, we're already listening with your app/on the desktop, we should now be able to also listen to some stories :)

Hi Spotify. I really like the New Djay Pro App for Mac with the Spotify integration. I understand why the 'record' feature is unavailble for Spotify integrated mixes as its a licensing issue with the labels, and you are a streaming service not a download store. However as a work around, it would be great to be able to record a 'mix' and save as a personal playlist, then at least people & myself who are Spotify users could listen and share the playlist 'mix'. This way the tracks would get streamed as normal and royalties paid. Seems like a sensible solution. Best Jon

I love how "inbox" is now "messages" on my desktop, but I really miss having it when I'm using my android. It'd be awesome if the new "messages" was implemented in mobile apps!!! :D

The Mac App still has the leopard-esque grey bar up top, and has built in scrollers, let it fit in with the rest of the UI of Lion, it's been over a year, some change has to happen.

In the Android app, the button with three vertical dots to the right of each song title (which directs you to the menu where you can add the song to a playlist, queue it, go to artist and so on) is a little too small and it is in the middle of the area which makes Spotify play the song. That makes it to easy to fail to hit the button, and instead you stop the current song and make Spotify play a new one. This is actually quite annoying (Just during the time I wrote this idea, I did this twice). My idea is to make the button bigger and make it go all the way to the right edge of the screen, and make it fill the hight of the song it represents.

This is actually important... When I have my phone switched to "mute," I expect the apps to comply. Spotify does not, leading to some very embarrassing, loud interruptions, usually at inopportune moments because I THOUGHT I had muted my phone.<br><br>Please fix this!! Thank you,<br><br>Mattynabib

Just some ideas for the Android app. First, the ability to change the order of playlists, and the songs in the playlist. Second, on the new ICS version the close application button has gone, which was useful for stopping it when wanted. Finally, official application for Android tablets, with more functionality like the desktop version.

I primarily use Spotify daily while in my car because I am a Marketing Rep which requires my 9-5 is strictly behind the wheel. I've completely replaced my iPod with Spotify but I find it's hard to "Star" a song while on the road. I use my Star folder as a way to eventually organize those songs into my subfolders. I'm sure you know the way to Star a song already so I won't delve into those details but there is definite room to add a "Star" button by moving the "Last Song - Play - Next Song" buttons more to the left/right and placing the button there.

Having only just replaced my iPod (80GB classic) with my phone (Galaxy S), I was hoping to receive similar functionality via Spotify. However, I find offline listening to be incredibly clumsy! I find that having one playlist full of music I wish to sync just does not work. In the mean-time, I have resorted to creating one playlist per album. This still isn't great, but is a marked improvement. I think that there's a better solution to this problem. I propose that browsing your offline files becomes a little more succinct, and similar to the functionality of other music players on the market. The simple ability to browse your offline artists/albums/genres would improve the usability of this app to a huge extent.
