Hi, I've been a (non-payment) member of spotify for a few months now, but I have a HUGE problem with what ads show up. I've been getting pretty much only one ad ("on fleek") since I've joined and believe me, if I hear it one more time, I think I might explode. I do NOT like the artist, I do NOT like the genre, I do NOT like the language, and I do NOT like hearing the same ad over and over.   I think that a way to control ads should be implemented. Not a way to disable ads, just a way to silence the bad ones, and bring in the good ones. I know that there are probably not that many ads that spotify runs, but it would be nice to not hear a rapping ad with swearing in it for once.   It wouldn't have to be too complicated. If you have a large database of artist/album/genre ads, spotify, I would like them to be based on what artists I'm following, not what's "popular" at the time. I hate rappers, I hate swearing; not a good combination when I'm forced to either listen to that one particular ad ("on fleek") that won't go away, or hit mute and end up missing at least half the song afterwards.   It would only have to affect artist, album, and genre ads, because I know how much you guys depend on companies supporting you. I propose to you this idea, which I think can be very useful: I found the current view (with the large icons) a little disturbing. I'm following more than 200 artists and have stored lots of albums, honestly it is very difficult to find an artist, without having to stir the whole list to find it. I give to you a sketch of a type of view that might be useful to add it to both artists and albums sections, besides of the large icons. I hope you like my idea. In the latest version for some unexplained reason, you guys took away the functionality where the current Artist and Track title info is populated in the title bar of the app and also when you mouseover the dock icon while Spotify is minimized. I listen constantly at work using my Premium account, and I don't like taking up my screen real estate with the app, even when it's in the background. I enjoyed being able minimize the app and mouseover the icon in the Dock to see what song was playing when it inrigued me. Since I updated to the latest version, that's no longer possible. ... Quarteto Maogani, a fantastic brazilian guitars group, has its different albuns registered in spotify under three different names: Quarteto Maogani, Maogani Quartet and Maogani. I am unsure if this is a duplicate idea, but if it is, that is okay, at least it is already being considered.   There should be a Spotify feature where you post a rare or hard-to-find album by an artist on Spotify, or other albums not normally found on Spotify, and not get in trouble, in an isolated publishing area. This is where the original artist will still make money from whatever is posted regardless and not the listener who posts the copyrighted material, who must understand that they aren't to make money for what they post and their real intention is for the actual artist to make money from something they should put on Spotify in general, and to make it accessible to others.   The unofficial posts should be tagged or labeled as an unofficial post, and there should be an option to show or hide the unofficial posts on the artist page. Spotify must also check the quality of whatever is posted just so A) they can correct the metadata information to associate the post to the right artist, B) determine and assure whether or not the sound quality is good for people to consume the music, and C) check for duplicates.   As far as the artists go, in order to post an unofficial release, the artist must already be a member on Spotify, for this is how the artists make money from people playing the music. I think it would be great to be able to prioritise auto shuffle for a particular artist, so that when I push 'play,' i can hear some B-Sides, and not simply the popular tracks from that particular artist. Spotify is a great way to explore music, but hearing the same track which is on the radio is, for the lack of better word, useless.    Otherwise - thumbs up! ... View more

Hey Spotify, When discovering new music I like to "save" an entire album for later listening. When selecting "Albums" under the "Your Music" column on the left-hand side of Spotify, I am met with all my saved albums by alphabetical order. Every time, I change my sorting view to "Recently Added" to review recently added albums to my library. Could you please allow the user to set-and-forget the album view choice? Ever since the new update, i'm are not capable of searching for songs/artist/albums on my Android device if I am offline. This is incredibly frustrating because this means I have to scroll through me playlist (containing over 700 songs on each playlist) to find one indivisual track,arist, or album. I view an artist's page. I see 15 followers. I know that one can not simply "stubble" upon this artist ... it MUST be searched for. So who are these people ? These chosen few who share a similar taste in melody, these who knew they're way to treasure, these 15.   My wish; is to go to an artist and see these followers and their "Starred Tracks", to know who these people are, to discover more of what I desire, I want to follow these followers. If this impossible, then at least show me playlist that a particular song has been added to.   Without the ability to know who these followers are, what point is there in showing the number of followers ? ... it is a taunt.   ... I love MP3 players and CD shelves for the fact that I can browse what music I have to help me decide what to listen. Now with Spotify I need to know what I listen in terms of searching artist/album/track. Usually it's too much and I end up listening to same songs. I'd like to be able to define the artists I like in Spotify and Spotify would then allow me to browse that list of artists and selecting the artist it would show me all albums of that artist. Most importantly, I could remove some albums that I don't listen to. Simple idea, really. I dont want to manually create playlist per artist keep it up to date. I also don't want to keep subscribed to external services that will notify me when there's new album out as it probably isn't in Spotify yet. ... View more

I think it would be great if you could add an option to enable some kind voice announcement in the beginning of a song. I mean like in the radio function. Sometimes listening to the radio I really like the song, but I don't know the artist and title of the song, so I have to wake the mobile up and look it up.
