Dear Spotify   staff, Many fans including myself feel disappointed by boy group BTS' name being brought up in K-pop girl group BlackPink's spotify   profile. I am sure the writer of BlackPink's spotify profile description meant no harm, but mentioning one artist's name in another's profile description is something we found quite out of context and disrespectful.   -BTS and  BlackPink  are both talented groups   in their own authentic ways   and associating them with eachother for a fact as trivial as the one that they're in the same music industry isn't fair because they're   completely different and hard working artists who   deserve to   be loved for themselves, their concepts and their own music, not because they 'resemble'  eachother . By associating them, that is likely to damage the artists' sense of authenticity and ruin it especially for the people who don't know them yet.   -This could and has led to new listeners concluding that 'BlackPink is the girl version of BTS' which is undeniably wrong and unfair on both groups. They are both unique and should be known as such.   -BlackPink is consisted of 4 artists who we respect. I will repeat it :  we BTS fans completely respect BlackPink and every hard working artist who is under YG Entertainment. But, their company YG Entertainment has been known for not being very kind to BTS back when they were underground artists. So I hope you understand that that's the biggest reason why we do not want YG to be given the chance of using BTS for their own promotion.   As one of the biggest music platforms in the world, I am sure you do not only want your listeners to be satisfied but also your artists to shine under the best light possible. Please take both groups' authenticity and hard work into consideration because saying that they sound that much alike is not the right way to do it. After the recent update to Spotify on Android, the interface for the Discover Weekly Playlist replaced the "Shuffle" and "Repeat" button with a "Like" and "Don't Like" button respectively.   I am now unable to at least have my Discover Weekly Playlist on "Repeat", and when my playlist is on the last song of the playlist it will stop and no longer move forward to the very first track unless I manually select the first track again. Moreover, if I was on the first track in the playlist I am unable to select the last track of the playlist using the "Previous" track button.   So my suggestion is can we have a way to introduce the "Shuffle" and "Repeat" button back in the user interface please.   ... I´m using Spotify when I study, because of the great selection of music to focus with. But I´m really getting tired of this affecting my discover weekly and release radar-playlists, since I only listen to classic/instrumental music when I´m studying, and not in my everyday life. I was thinking about making a "studysession" alternative, that would work almost like a private session, except that the songs you listen to when your studysession is active dont effect your discover weekly or release radar. This is a re-posting of the original idea posed by cphilippsen  in 03.2017.   The discover weekly and Release Radar are broken. I liked several cover songs and now it seems like upwards of 50% of the songs recommended for me are low-quality or poorly-executed covers I have no interest in whatsoever. If the discover playlists are only updated once a week, It is a disservice to everyone to have to deal with these unwanted covers.  The idea for implementation is as simple as "Only allow original music" toggle switch. You can tell the system the artists and songs you like, but telling the system you don't like artists is much less intuitive. I love Bryce Vine, so I press the like button. I know I don't like Cardi-B (Don't hate on me), so why can't I search her up and "dislike" her? I think this is a necessary feature to implement. It's hard to tell how flexible the algorythm for the Weekly Playlist is, but it would be nice if there was a little more control. I think it would be more practical to do so by having a separate advanced options page for DW in the preferences, so the simplicity of the feature would be kept but those who want more control over it could have a way to do that.   The preferences page could let users set the number of songs per playlist, or genre or period preferences. There could be some option for known artists (i.e. "Do you want songs you never listened to from artists you already know and like?") and so on. Also, this page could include a feedback list with all the songs of the present DW playlist, each with a checkbox "Like/Don't Like" to give a more granular feedback for future playlists.   This would make DW power users happy without affecting normal users' use of the feature, and it would keep the UI consistent. ... Basically I made up this idea where when you see a song right next to the song title it shows a little number and the number shows how many people are currently listening to the song you are viewing. The number will be a live counter of how many people are currently listening to the song. This could help a person figure what music people are listening and what the latest hottest songs are! Currently the only way to catch up on unplayed Podcast episodes is to use the Android App. On the Desktop the only way to check for new Episodes is to check each Podcast individually instead of having a stream of unplayed Podcast Episodes like in the Android app. Please include an "unplayed Podcast Episodes" Stream in the Desktop Vesion.   ... I really like the new Release Radar function. It's like a personalized "Discover weekly", which is awesome. But however, as the concept of this is based on personalization, you should open up for more customization. For example the ability to include or exclude spesific playlists, artists or albums. My Release Radar shows me new songs from artists that i haven't really listened to for 5 years. Now this could be great, but i should have the option to exclude this artist if i don't want new music from this artist(s).    I use, and believe alot of people now use, pre-made playlists by Spotify, "Digster" etc. When alot of people use playlists that they haven't really made themselves, this might include alot of music that they love, but also artists and songs that they are not that big fans of. In this case the Release Radar s input data will be wrong for determining which new songs to suggest. And this, amongst other things, is why we should be able to choose what we want to set as the input-data for the Release Radar (which songs it uses to suggest new ones).  There could also be different sets of standard settings for this. For example "Use only songs listened to the last 30 days", "Use the music from my top 3 playlists", "Use the music from all my playlists" etc, as well as the ability to manually choose (both include and exclude) the playlists, artists, albums and songs that should be set as the basis for the Release Radar..  ... For users that use Spotify for only a portion of their music listening, the discover page, daily mix, and discover weekly playlists are heavily biased toward the few albums they've happened to listen to on Spotify. It'd be much more useful if you took data from last.fm into account. For example, I have four years of listening logged on there, and it'd make my mixes much more relevant if they used that data. ... I usually make it my goal to listen to my entire discover weekly playlist every week, but currently it is kind of convoluted to figure out which songs I have already heard. My current method is to click the "save to your music" button to mark it, but I would love it if spotify automatically marked which songs I have already heard, so I can listen to the ones I haven't heard by the end of the week.
