Really Spotify? REALLY??!
I know theres another post on these Spotify ideas for filtering spotify ads. Its been on there for quite a while and people are having the same issue as I am. I really am concerned with Spotify. Last year I downloaded Spotify and loved it. I had absolutely no problem with the content of the ads. I deleted it because my computer was too full. I downloaded it again this year and Ive been having this horrible issue with the Trojan condom ads. They run back to back and its very disturbing. I use this to do homework and also I use this in the photography lab at school. I really dont want to turn on spotify in front of my family or friends because this AWKWARD trojan condom ad comes on. And it has these annoying mans voices screaming stupid things about the trojan condoms. I want to be able to share my music with my family, but I think I may have to go back to Pandora. The ads they have arent as disturbing as what I have encountered today. I love Spotify and thats why Im taking the time out of my winter break of homework and Psychology homework to write this. PLEASE consider this idea.I really dont want to have to uninstall Spotify. Spotify please fix this. You may lose many other people because of this ONE AD!!!!

UPDATE: Duplicate Idea.
I've marked this as a duplicate as the idea suggested here seems more related to filtering certain advertisements, although if you intended to suggest that they are stopped entirely, I can adjust the idea here to reflect that.
The idea related to filtering of adverts can be found right here.

First off, I'd like to say I love spotify! I use it all the time. However, I've been getting really, really, REALLY, frustrated with the ad content. Sometimes it gets so provocative! From a movie about sexual phone calls, to trojan horse condoms, and now Victoria Secret models who take up more than half the screen and talk to you in seductive voices... Please. Please, please, please, make an option to have a family friendly ad filter! I am not asking you take take these ads off, I am simply asking for an option to make me feel comfortable using spotify in front of family and friends. Spotify is the perfect tool for party playlists, but with little kids running around and moms of friends, I really don't want the chance of one of these ads playing! I have seen past complaints about these, and some were in 2012! Why has nothing changed?! Just because spotify will go through a streak of ok ads, not does make it ok when it decides to use provocative ones. I can see that my frustration with the ads would seem to make me more likely to upgrade to spotify premium-ad free, right?! Well no. In fact it does the exact opposite. I am less likely to upgrade because of lack of respect for it. I'm not going to be forced into paying money to not hear something that I shouldn't be hearing in the first place! As I said, I absolutely love spotify. But if this continues, I will have to go to my iTunes or Pandora when I have company. This is completely uncalled for and unfair. Especially that it seems nothing is changing. Pandora even had a setting I could use to filter out provocative music and ads! I would love it if I could do it for the radio on Spotify for explicit content also, but at the very least, give me an option to filter out these disgusting sexually offensive, disturbing ads. My 11 year old brother and his friends, and his friends' moms and my friends' moms and all their cousins do not need to be hearing this stuff. Please have consideration for all types of people! I don't want to be looked passed just because I don't agree with what the world wants me to agree with. I know that there are others out there who agree to at least some extent or another. Thank you for listening to my rant.
This is for real.

Please enable a way to: - View artists you are following - View friends you are following Seperately. You differentiate between them with the " √ARTIST" like here: http://s7.postimg.org/skde91mnf/Spotify_Following.jpg Why not simply make that a button to view only artists? It's a shame such a great music application cannot simply allow one to view the Artists they are following...

For users that follow a lot of artists/people/playlists and/or manage popular playlists, it would be helpful to have a feature that allows you to filter and search your notifications (and historic notifications from all artists/playlists that you follow).
I have a playlist with 10,000+ followers and follow 70+ artists but always miss the artist notifications due to the volume of playlist notifications and I want to hear new music! It's a bit frustrating because I push notifications to my phone for artists but cannot back reference the notifications if I do not listen immediately to the track/album - they get lost in the noise. 😞
Access to more data is better than less and being able to manipulate it would make the user experience better. Filtering notifications by artist or playlist or person, then by date or type of notification (single or album release) would be ideal. 🙂
Thank you for the concern.
