I really want this feature to return, its a feature i used everyday as a music addict   [If you want to search for a song within any playlist, regardless if its your own or not, this is no longer possible the way we know. Currently we have to click on the three dots in the top right corner to open a new menu, select there "Search in Playlist" and after that, start typing in what we want to search. We always wondered and to this day still do: why is it impossible to add an album or playlist to your queue? It seems like a useful feature to save time and stress. A common situation:   1) You love Spotify so much, you use it every single day.   2) You find a good song and you save it to Your Music, where you already have zillions of songs   3) So you also want this song into your playlists, which you kinda sort songs by a personal criteria that works for you   3) But this song happens to fit several of your playlists.. and you wonder:   Q1: Is this song already in my playlists? Q2: If so, in which one/ones?   Here's a simple solution:      1 ) right-click any song    2 ) show ✔ next to the playlists that contain that song         Extra features (1):  Add how many times a song is repeated in the playlist:       Extra features (2): Show  ♫ if a song is in your playlists :     With this feature you could browse any user playlist or any search result and figure out which songs are in your playlists at once, without checking each of your playlists manually.   Do you like the idea? As soon as the number of Spotify playlists I created started to grow, I realized that I could use folders to organize them more comfortably. I loved to see all of my different playlist personalized covers appear in my computer or phone as soon as I opened the app. However, now that I use folders, all I see are grey squares until I get to the actual playlists. Allow us to pin a few playlists at the top of the list so that they are always there and never change order. At the very least, allow us to re-arrange them on the mobile app. The Spotify app on Mac allows re-ordering of playists currently, why not the mobile app? ... View more

I see this subject has come up before, but the response has been that the case is closed and it is not happening.  Thing is, being able to order my playlist either by name or date added is such a basic and fundamental function and what Spotify fails to do, is explain why on earth you would not implement this?  It's not really enough to just say, "we are not doing it".  I think you owe the community an explanation, or even better, JUST DO IT!!  I mean, really, I don't understand, so I hope you will help. ... This idea was submitted years ago and was marked "case closed", which is pretty weird for something that I used constantly in other apps.   What I'm looking for is this workflow: - find a song I like - add it to a playlist - realize it belongs in more than just one playlist - add it to multiple playlists - determine which playlists I've already added it to so that I can make sure it goes to all the right ones.    Another reason for this feature: - Be playing a playlist of music - Find a song I really love and forgot how much I like - Quickly and easily identify which other playlists I've added that song to in the past, which might include similar music.  - Switch to another playlist, knowing that the song is in there.   This can all be handled via the right-click Add to Playlist menu, with checkmarks to indicate that a song already lives in a given playlist. Or, it could be a separate menu item, called "Show In Playlist", containing a menu of ONLY the playlists that the song is in.   This is such a useful feature and it's something that iTunes has had for over 10 years. OK, not sure what update it was, but everytime I now create a new Playlist from an Album on Android app, it now asks me to name the Playlist from scratch, instead of auto filling the Playlist name with 'Artist - Album Name'. I would really like the ability to sort my 25+ playlists by alphabetical listings due to the fact they are currently organized by when you added them. I forget when I added my playlists frequently. So it takes a good minute to find the playlist cause I'm constantly finding other playlists to start following. Every time I try to find out if this is implemented in your app or desktop app I get how to sort the songs within a playlist. I need to be able to sort the lists of playlists itself. It would be great if you can scroll back in time and find the songs that were in the charts back then. So you for instance that you can scroll back to 1997 and listen to all the hitsongs of that year (or maybe even personalised, so the songs you’re likely to have listened to back then). A nice extra feature would be:  -zoom in or out to finetune or broaden the timespan. Hey, Wouldn't it be great, if there was a switch in every playlist, that you could select to make the playlist private and the playlist would remember this setting?   As a result, you could select which playlists affect Spotify's algorithms, that select content for you and create such playlists as the Weekly recommendations.   For example, this would be very helpful in a situation when you like to listen sleepy music when going to bed, but don't want to find the same music from the Weekly recommendations, or in other automatically created playlists. I have exactly this problem and I would like to be able to change it and get better recommendations for the daytime listening.   There is the private listening mode, that is available through general settings, but it's way too inconvenient to use from there and switch in every needed situation (especially on Android), so I'm asking for a little piece of automation here.   This idea seems to have been posted here several times, but it hasn't gained enough kudos and so all of them are found in the closed ideas -section, so here I am trying again. I love Spotify, but one thing is starting to drive me crazy!   I am from Finland and I understand two languages: Finnish and English. I never listen to swedish music, but still my Discover Weekly is plagued with swedish songs. Now they have started to appear on "new songs for you" -playlist also(don't know what it is called in english).   I really don't know how they get there. Maybe because my last name is Swedish? I have been skipping the swedish songs for ever now but it doesn't seem to have an effect on the algorythm which picks up the recommendations for me.    Hopefully something can be done about it!           ... I would like to have a band playlist that contains the songs that this band is most likely to play at their next live show.    Why? When going to concerts with artists which music I don't know very well I want to get to know their music beforehand since that makes the concert so much better. Instead of listening to their entire discography i want to listen to the 10-20 songs that they are likely to play during the concert.  Today I manually create this setlist by going to setlist.fm, find the name of the current tour and then look at the songs that are most frequently played during this tour so far. As an example see this link: https://www.setlist.fm/stats/nightwish-13d6fd01.html?tour=3d7ad73 Then I manually search for these songs in spotify and add them to a playlist.
