Hello, I have noticed that Spotify isn't really working on my smartwatch: Misfit Vapor (running Android Wear 2.0). It would be nice to support the device, cause lots of other users have complained about it. Thanks.

As a runner, I'm getting rather sick of running with my phone, and with the advent of bluetooth headphones, recognize the potential benefits of a smartwatch/fitness tracker paired with bluetooth headphones to minimize what I have to carry around. I would prefer a system like Apple Music has where you can download a playlist to a wearable/smartwatch (Apple watch in that case) so that I don't need to carry around as much. However, I don't have any great desire to switch to Apple Music at this point. What I am suggesting is forming a partnership with a fitness wearable/running tracking/smartwatch company. I think this would be advantegous to Spotify (particularly if its a respected wearable like FitBit, Apple watches, etc.) since it would provide a differentiated value add above some of the competitors that have entered the scene (Deezer, Tidal, Apple Music, etc.). Futhermore, I think the wearable company would be incentivized to participate or even pay for the partnership as Spotify would provide a differentiating factor in a heavily saturated wearable market and I suspect others are like me in that they would probably switch to another wearable company for this feature. While obviously partnerships of this nature must be carefully weighed in terms of how they impact future integrations/opportunities and the competitive landscape, this is something as a long time Spotify user I would love to see as the lack of spotify on a smaller device is by far my biggest qualm right now (running for two hours with a brick on my arm isn't ideal). An additional potential advantage is charging an additional $2-4 or so for connectivity to a wearable (I would do that in a heartbeat as well). I imagine at some point a subscription music service will roll out this or a similar feature, which would be very strong incentive to switch platforms, so I'm just hoping Spotify gets there first and does so with a wearable I like. I'm guessing this has come under consideration before, but I wanted to make sure it was recognized that this has the potential to be an awesome feature!
